Mentoring Initiative
“The Sarasota County Mentoring Initiative invites you to “Be the Change” and donate one hour a week to help a young person. Mentors are trained in an introduction to Mentoring overview and then matched to the agency they wish to mentor with throughout Sarasota County. Currently 18 mentor programs are registered with the Friendship Volunteer Center. Click on the Programs Tab>Mentoring Initiative for the form needed to apply or call 953-5965 to register over the phone . Seasonal residents are welcome to join in and volunteer for this or other programs while you are in the community.Learn more.
